A Dream of Love.WOW! I didn't realize it had been 2 years since I started this thread! A lot of amazing things have happened in the hobby since then. Flipped a lot of pieces, and now have a nice collection. But it still misses a big watch. While I have a Panerai 47mm Luminor, it just doesn't take the place of the Pilot. I was in Vancouver recently and visited the local Vanguard boutique, and the same amazing young lady I dealt with 2 years ago recognized me, so we're happy. Once again I viewed at BP and asked her to call me when she received the Spitfire Bronze Chronograph. She also inquired if I wanted to put the Spitfire "on a mission". Although I realized the Spitfire was on a mission, I knew little about the watch, and refused to see it. When I got home, I started researching all the pilot models. I didn't even know the Vanguard had a manual wound movement, and an 8-day power reserve on that! The movement actually took over the entire case, which is a trait I'm an idiot for, except for the fact that it was manually wound. Here's some pics, I stole that display watch and case, and it looks like a sapphire case back. I really like that power reserve indicator, peeking through the holes in the case.
