Rolex has officially discontinued the Platinum Rolex Submariner 116619LB Blue, also known as the "Smurf". But instead of killing the model altogether, Rolex has replaced it with the new Submariner 126619LB! The biggest visual differences include the change from a blue dial to a black dial.
That said, it still features the blue color, but it's more understated as it only has a blue Cerachrome bezel instead of a blue dial.
The dial is black in the traditional Submariner style, which makes it more discreet than the Smurf 116619LB, which also has a blue dial.

The biggest upgrade to this watch is, of course, the movement - Rolex's in-house caliber 3235. 32XX is the newest generation of Rolex movements. 3235 beats at a frequency of 28,800 BPH (as do all current Rolex movements) and is COSC certified (as are all Rolex calibers) and has a 70 hours of power reserve, an increase of 40-48 hours over its predecessor. Much of the improvement in power reserve can be attributed to the Chronergy escapement.
